I forgot to set my alarm again after Patrick got up at his ungodly hour of the morning (half past seven), and when I woke up and groggily stretched over to the radio alarm clock to put on radio 4 at half nine, I discovered that I had missed Anthony Head on Midweek! Gah. But! It's online, plus it's repeated tonight at half nine, so if you can get Radio 4 either on your radio or online, and you want a fix of Giles, you know where he is.

I am so going to see the Pirates of Penzance, by the way. Giles AND Gilbert and Sullivan! My geeky cup runneth over.

In other news, I couldn't get to sleep last night because I kept thinking about zombies. And eye-gouging. And finding one's parents dead and decomposing in their bed (that was the worst, perhaps obviously).. See, I really can't handle scary films

I heard the trailer on Today earlier on, and was bugged beyond belief that Libby Purves was still introducing him as the Gold Blend guy. Fuck's sake! How many years ago is that? And how not obscure is Buffy? They've still got this conviction that nobody under 40 listens to R4. I feel quite the oppressed minority.

But I too shall listen to it later.

All your comments about 28 days later have convinced me that I shouldn't see it. I can't handle scary movies either.

It's still really, really good, though. The fact that I'm still thinking about it the next day is a sign of its goodness (to me, anyway). I've seen more nastier films; I think it was the less horrific but more upsetting (but sensitively done) scenes, like when the hero returns to his family home and finds his (non-zombied) dead parents that really disturbed me.

The end of it's really violent, though - that was the bit when I kept having to wander into the kitchen. So if you have somewhere to hide, I recommend it!

Oh God, did she say that? I didn't hear her talking to him; I just heard his voice when I turned the radio on, but he was just commenting on what another guest had been saying, so his own bit was obviously over!

And yes, we 20 something Radio 4 fans are an oppressed minority. Although perhaps we should be glad; imagine the awfulness if they tried to make it "young and hip"....

You have to go see Peter Pan as well, with ASH as Captain Cook. Giles AND an eye-patch and hook...

Hee, I'd love to, but with the current crappy exchange rate I don't think I could afford to go over to London twice in two months! I always go on a spree in H&M and then realise how much I've just spent. Why don't you have the euro, why....
