*pop!

Ooh, I love indie pop. I especially love the ultra-poppy slightly retro likes of the Apples in Stereo and Lilys (who were both friends of my American ex-boyfriend - one of the many reasons why I always think of him with affection). So imagine my delight this afternoon when I opened a package to discover the new album from a bloke called Brendan bBenson, who writes just sort of thing. And it's so, so so good! I keep singing along and trying not to dance too much in my seat.

And seriously, I'm not just trying to compensate for the Aguilera praise. This album really is making me very happy. "Always be...good to me... always be...good to me..."
