that's what I call a happy ending

Yes! Yes yes yes yes yes! That was fucking magnificent. Everything about it. It was just beautiful. I got a bit teary when Tim, that truly decent boy, offered to go for a drink with the pathetic Brent. I started bawling when 'Back for Good' by Take That came on when Dawn was leaving, and I cried even more when she opened her parcel. And when we saw her return in the background, my sister and I literally started shrieking with joy. Even the vile Brent's happy ending made us smile.

It was perfect television. A comedy that makes you cry properly is a beautiful thing.

Yes, I cried. A lot. But when she had the oil paints and the picture of him with "Never give up", I knew it would all work out ok.

And David told Finchy to fuck off! Yes!

I will buy that on DVD and watch it over and over again.

Yes, through my tears I did start to think that it would be all right once she ...sniff...opened the parcel and saw the picture...oh, I'm going to start crying again.

And my sister and I just looked at each with amazed grins when David turned on Finchy. Oh, the whole thing was just wonderful. It was a magnificent example of programme-makers loving their characters and liking their audiences, and doing the best thing for both.
