that's what I call a happy ending

Yes! Yes yes yes yes yes! That was fucking magnificent. Everything about it. It was just beautiful. I got a bit teary when Tim, that truly decent boy, offered to go for a drink with the pathetic Brent. I started bawling when 'Back for Good' by Take That came on when Dawn was leaving, and I cried even more when she opened her parcel. And when we saw her return in the background, my sister and I literally started shrieking with joy. Even the vile Brent's happy ending made us smile.

It was perfect television. A comedy that makes you cry properly is a beautiful thing.

I have to admit, for a fleeting moment when there was the shot of the taxi going off into the distance and it didn't turn around, I didn't think she was going to come back.

But I was still happy with that, because he made his point with the present and it made her cry. And I would have accepted that as their ending, her realising he really cared and maybe feeling that way herself and not doing anything about it. Even though I was thinking to myself "If someone gave me something like that, I'd be going back and kissing them in front of everyone, fiance be damned." So imagine my glee when it actually happened!

I loved the way they walked off. Happily and quietly, with the party continuing behind them, not in an attention-grabbing Officer and a Gentlemen kinda way.

Yeah, for a bit I thought it was just going to be her realising that he really was the one for her but that she was just too scared to leave the awful Lee, and that was going to be it. So yes, when she came back I was delirious with joy!

And oh, the sweetness of them just going off together. It was all just so lovely.
