that's what I call a happy ending

Yes! Yes yes yes yes yes! That was fucking magnificent. Everything about it. It was just beautiful. I got a bit teary when Tim, that truly decent boy, offered to go for a drink with the pathetic Brent. I started bawling when 'Back for Good' by Take That came on when Dawn was leaving, and I cried even more when she opened her parcel. And when we saw her return in the background, my sister and I literally started shrieking with joy. Even the vile Brent's happy ending made us smile.

It was perfect television. A comedy that makes you cry properly is a beautiful thing.

to make a short story long-
Hi, I hope you wouldn't mind if I add you...I'm 10 years older than you, live in L.A., have lived with an irishman by birth who's lived here since he was 7, went to Ireland last year for the first time, stayed with his family in Dublin, went all over,, hope to end my days there(not yet), work in animation here(I'm an artist), and was just terribly lonesome for Ireland, looked up Irish posters, so found your LJ, have RTE as my homepage(sad, isn't it?), saw that this Sat a special on Dermot Morgan is going to be aired, got all excited about it though I can't watch it, work with a Dubliner(a real one-she too hates 'faux irishness'-and you get a LOT of that in Los Angeles)...what else? Anyway, hope you don't mind. : )
