return of the compilation queen

So, I've made my mix CD for goovie, my partner in the Chicklit mix-tape/CD exchange. This is the first time I've made a compilation CD, as opposed to a tape, and it really is much easier, especially when checking whether a song goes well with the one before it. I used to be a mix tape master, and still have loads of the ones I made in college, which are usually a mixture of dancing music (Death in Vegas, Primal Scream's guitar version of 'Don't Fight It, Feel It', weird '60s funk stuff) and my own sort of stoner music (Tim Buckley, Al Stewart, Tom Waits).

Anyway, here's the tracklisting for my new creation. I'm

Folk Singer by Brendan Benson
It's Only Divine Right by the New Pornographers
Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand
Lady of the Fire by Helium
Send His Love to Me by PJ Harvey
13 Bees by Mary Timony
Who Knows Where the Time Goes by Fairport Convention
In Brooklyn by Al Stewart
Weightless Again by the Handsome Family
Look For me (I'll Be Around) by Neko Case
Trigger by Calexico
Je Suis Venu te Dire by John Wesley Harding
Dry the Rain by the Beta Band
Jennifer She Said by Lloyd Cole and the Commotions
Stoned Soul Picnic by Laura Nyro
Breakfast in Bed by Dusty Springfield
can't Nobody Love You by the Zombies
I Almost Forgot by Matthew Sweet

It's all very mellow, because she suggested she wanted folksy stuff, so I hope she likes it. And now I have a bunch of blank CDs, if anyone else would like a copy, let me know.

Me please! I'll even do one for you in return...

(Was it you who put me onto Neko Case? She's fabulous.)

Hurrah! I'll burn you one today.

And, I think it could have been! Her music is brilliant, but as I discovered when she lied about being sick when I was meant to be interviewing her, so I had to hang around the venue for three hours and ended up with no interview, she herself is a diva bitch.

Grrr. That is incredibly annoying. But still, the music is good!

I'd love one too, and can definitely offer a mix in exchange, but not for another two weeks (payday :)). Feel free to hold back until I've come up with the goods.

I'd love one, but amn't sure what I could possibly offer in return, as my music collection is lame to non-existent! A private recital? Books called up from Stacks for you?

Is it too late to get a copy? I can make you a CD, or I can send you fun literary post-it notes.
