Yet again, it's time to play - what are you wearing?

I am currently sporting a navy blue fitted tee with crimson trim, with the words BERLIN MITTE 10117 on the front (Mitte, for those who don't know, is a district of Berlin, although sadly not the one I lived in during my legendary summer in that fine city), a red knee length pencil skirt, and a little fawn cardigan from Top Shop with tiny red hearts knitted into it.

And you?

Oh, you always ask on days when I'm wearing dodgy clothes!

I'm wearing a long grey skirt made of fleece material, a pinky-red v-neck jumper, and an ankle length fluffy grey cardigan.

And, um, bright yellow terry towelling socks from Virgin Airlines, cause my feet got cold.

i'm at work, so i'm wearing deadly dull work clothes: an eggplant-colored sweater, grey slacks, dark socks and black buckly shoes. i want to wear a sign that says, "i usually look much cuter than this." :P

I was cuter yesterday, so I will answer for yesterday.

I wore a new pink silk suit jacket and new black pants and new black shoes.

(Today I am only wearing blue flannel pj pants and a green shirt.)

Since I always answer these at work, they are invariably boring.

Hair: down, waist-length
Face: Glasses, mascara, some coverup
Top: Black button down shirt, Victoria's lightly padded bra, a black elastic around my left wrist, a Fossil watch with a blue face around my right wrist
Bottom: Almost flared tan pants from Zara with a low, wide waistband. Striped cotton thong. Running socks and black flat ankleboots so no one can see the socks.

My grand plan for what to wear today was foiled by the fact that it was snowing again and I had to change at the last minute, so:

Tan cords that don't fit entirely properly, causing me to pull them up every 2 minutes. Red long-sleeved tee with V neck. Olive green bowling style runners. Regular assortment of rings and watches.

Actually I feel seriously frumpy today. I must do better tomorrow.

Michael Stars 3/4-sleeve (fitted on me) tee in china blue, Red Engine jeans, black socks with random stripes at the top from The Limited, and Andre Assous black boots, side-zip with two inch heel. Hair is down, about to my shoulder blades, and face is plain since I stopped playing on the internet too late to shower *and* do makeup. I'd rather be clean. Bra is the least sexy one made by Victoria's Secret, but I forget I'm wearing it, it's so comfy, and light blue bikinis also by Victoria's Secret.

So, yeah, nothing nearly as cool as you. But what's the surprise there? :)

I'm wearing a really cute red keyhole sweater (one of my five red sweaters) with my stupid black pants (they are floppy rayon pants with a drawstring, and were fairly stylish when I bought them in 1998). Also black socks and black shoes which have a sort of Doc-ish sole and need badly to be polished. And a wristwatch, which is unusual.

You've picked a fairly dodgy clothes day to ask! Pink cord trousers (why, yes, I do live in cord trousers), black unmarked t-shirt, grey angora jumper. And a rainbow plastic bead bracelet that the stepchen gave me.

I'm wearing beige slacks, a blue shirt (casual work type clothes) and a heavy woolen jumper with a polo neck.

Gray wool 40's suit jacket, black skirt and boots. But soon to be gray sweatpants and an old red sweatshirt. And it probably has cat hair on it.

I'm wearing blue jeans, an old pale-blue oxford shirt of my grandfather's, a tight old dark-blue sweater that was my grandmothers from the fifties (wow - it looks like I really need to go shopping, doesn't it?). Smurfette socks, and blue suede tennis shoes with running stripes. As usual, my kitten has taken my hair ties, so I've got my hair held up with a (blue) pencil.

Like Picasso, I too have a blue period.

Well, I'm at work, so you can take it as read that I'm wearing a skirt. Also, it's quite cold, hence the layers.

Black vest with black & pink lace trim.
Black & pink striped v-neck top from Topshop.
Black cable-knit zip up cardigan.
Joy Division Badge
V. twirly denim skirt.
Black tights.
Black mary-janes with wooden (or maybe 'wood-look'!) soles.

Hee, you are the easiest to envision, as I know your clothes!

And I presume you cycled home in safety last night? It was surprisingly frosty!
Mar. 9th, 2004 02:09 am (UTC)
I did get home safely. It was actually very nice, as there was a giant yellow moon. We cycled around the green on the path (to avoid the stupid, one-way system detour) and after Eoin said that he felt like some kind of Bicycle Policeman (as we were proceeding v. sedately in double file along a v. wide path), I couldn't stop imagining myself as some kind of constable in Amsterdam (or somewhere flat and European), so that enlivened the journey for me.

Black boots.
Black holdups.
Biiiig black pants.
Flared dark-blue denim skirt. (Homemade)
Black boatneck top. (Mango)
Thin dark-grey cashmere/silk cardigan (which is falling apart, which isn't surprising, because it was only £9.99 from TieRack and I wear it constantly 'cos it's so warm but totally unbulky and I MUST go back and buy about three more!)
Black silk scarf printed with books in orange, green, red, yellow and turquoise. (Bought as a square of silk for £3 a metre in the Gorgeous Fabric Shop's closing down sale - I miss that shop!)
Black fitted blazer.
NEW HAIR! (I'm just back from the hairdressers, and it's the same cut that it was before, but it's the first cut since December and it'd grown out so much that it feels new.

In the interests of full disclosure, I did actually see this last night, but I forebore to answer until this morning because I knew I'd look better!

Also, what does it say about me that I have links to so many of my clothes? I seem to have journalled almost every single wardrobe purchase or sewing project!

Mar. 9th, 2004 05:42 pm (UTC)
I like the links! I wish I could sew, but I can barely fix a hem.
