Say Goodbye, Daisy Miller

New Gilmore Girls! And I watched it less than 24 hours after it aired in the US. I love you, broadband!

That was a great episode. I particularly loved the Luke/Lorelai phone scene (and how cute is Paw Paw? So cute I actually squealed with delight when I saw him, that's how cute), because I, like several others I could mention cough*barsine*cough, love Luke. In a dirty way. I loved Lane too, but I always do, but I did not love horrible psycho cheatin' Dean and his poor whiny wife who just wants to make his dinner. Although I feel very sorry for the latter. As I said before, I was in a very similar situation to Rory when I was her age and they're dealing with it pretty well here.

But alas, my mpg ended before the final credits - I'm pretty sure there was only a minute more, at most, but if any of y'all saw it, how did Luke and Lorelai leave their last conversation on the phone? When my tape ended, Luke had just said he was out in the arse end of nowhere or something along those lines. Were there any subsequent declarations of lurve? I am an addict! I need to know every detail!

No declarations of love. It just ended with their usual banter, albeit on the phone this time.

Not sure if you're interested in spoilers, but Luke is going to have some competition for Lorelei's attention this season. Oh, yes, the fun continues.

Eek, no spoilers! Oh, how I love being able to watch it more or less when it originally airs.

Anyway, it looks like I didn't miss anything, thank goodness. Wasn't it such a great episode?

It was. I'm loving Lorelai's mother more and more with every season.

Lorelai's mom rocks.

Dean is now totally horrid; I liked him before Jess, who was even more horrid.

But it's worth the Dean to have the wonderful Luke/Lorelai. :)

I agree. I can't remember if I've ever found a TV relationship so satisfying! I just beamed all the way through their phone conversations.

And yes, wasn't Emily fantastic? People on the TWoP forums were saying that you could really see aspects of Lorelai in her, which makes perfect sense.

That was such a wonderful episode! I loved the juxtaposition of the happy Luke/Lorelei bits with Rory's angst and the black comedy of Emily and Richard.

And I'm dying to see next week, which I assume will take place after Rory gets home from Europe. What will happen?!?

ps. I love Luke. He needs to be my diner boyfriend.

I will fight you for Luke! Although barsine and I have agreed to share him between us.

I too assume next week's will have to when Rory gets back from Europe - and I'm betting we'll find out that Luke has been away at the Renaissance Faire (the mind reels) for the whole time too.
