Huzzah!

So after months of reading other people's, I've finally started a livejournal of my very own. Any excuse to waste time...

Thaks to the lovely brandnewgun for helping me join!

So weak, so very weak

Oh no. I thought I'd be able to hold out. But I've just been looking at Buffy screencaps. For Lessons. Which will not be on transatlantic TV until January.

I will stay spoiler free, though. The first episode doesn't really count, does it? Does it?

Help me, fellow spoiler avoiders!

Mea geekiness, mea geekiness, mea maxima geekiness

This afternoon I bought a <ahref="http://www.btvsrpg"> Buffy role-playing game</a> core book. I haven't actually played an RPG (as the fancy experts call them) since one time when I was 15 and tried (and failed) to play Call of Cthulu with my older sister and her friends. That one time was over ten years ago, so let's just say I'm not an expert.

But when I saw the book in Sub City comics, where I was buying the brand shiny new League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, I just couldn't resist. I've always thought RPGs looked like lots of fun, but I'm not into fantasy stuff, and so the basic premises always turned me off. But not any more! No, I'm going to become even more of a geek than I am already. Huzzah!

What the hell?

Okay, my entries keep half-disappearing and double posting and I don't know why. Just ignore any weird gaps or double posts...

I am not alone!

I showed the Boy my Buffy role play book thing, and he's quite enthusiastic about the whole thing. He confessed that years ago he and a bunch of friends played some insanely dorky vampire RPG, so I feel no shame about my new purchase. He also said his friend Daire will be up for a game, but warned that Daire plays to win and so it mightn't be much fun with him. Anyway, I should be able to bribe a few more game-newbies to try it out. Although damn, it looks complicated. Oh for the days when I used to cheat on The Warlock of Firetop Mountain by automatically winning every fight (well, I was about ten)...
