So.....I'm back. And this morning I met Buffy Summers (or someone who looks very like her).

That was the weirdest interview of my entire life. Not that the interviewee was weird - far from it, she was absolutely lovely, and really chatty. But being introduced to her was just insanely, insanely weird. The first five minutes of the interview felt like one of those dreams where you're in an episode of a television programme. It was just....it was Buffy! Buffy!

I have to go and do some work now, but I had to share the freakiness.

Are you saying you met SMG? Or just a look-a-like?

I met SMG. Interviewing her for the paper-that-cannot-be-named.

Very cool...did you by any chance talk politics? I believe she's a R*pu*lic*n!

But still...SMG!

Hmmm, we didn't, but she does work for Planned Parenthood, which would indicate her political sympathies are elsewhere....

From interviews I've read with her she always struck me as being more chilled out than a Republican and the Planned Parenthood thing is good to hear.

I heard she might be during a dicussion about the fundraiser that Joss Whedon was doing for John Kerry recently - several cast members were present and the lack of SMG led to someone saying that he'd heard she was on the "dark side".

But then, maybe the person in question saw this. Be warned, being mysoginistic, it will cause anger. :-/

She was lovely?! Oh, I'm so glad it went well. I'm serious that I'd like to read the interview once it's out.

I'm glad she (and the interview) was lovely. It's always strange meeting someone who exists but doesn't, if you get what I mean.

OMG! That's crazy! I'm glad to hear that she was nice. I think I would have been freaking out.

she was absolutely lovely

How dare you shatter my carefully constructed theories about How Some Of The Structural Problems In The Buffyverse Can Be Traced Back To SMG Being A Prima Donna.

She may well be a prima donna on set, but she's nice to journalists! And to her minions, by the looks of things.

Being nice to journalists is good, but being nice to minions is a real litmus test for me. It's always a good sign when employees smile (with their eyes) when their boss walks by and whenever I have a meal with a source, I'm always careful to see how they treat the server, for example.

But. Buffy. Buffy. Way cool.

I will have to keep an eye out for the nameless journal in which this interview will appear. Give me a heads-up, so I don't miss it? Please?

I cannot take the credit for that one, because it belongs to katemonkey, from a sentence I heard "somewhere". (No longer remember the source, sorry!)

But I came up with this one on my own, and (if memory serves correctly), the rest as well. Well, for some values of "my own" - the original images are slightly more "harvested" than "own production" (though I rather like "two too cute male critters", that being dear_hubby and the foundling cat, Hop.)

Uhm... Should I have just stopped with a "thank you"?

Heehee, don't worry, I love hearing about people's icons. Which in itself is a strange hobby, I suppose :) Those other icons are great too.

TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME when it's going to be in the nameless paper! (Presumably it's the usual nameless paper?) I really want to read it!

It will be in the paper on Saturday week! Or rather, the paper's Magazine. Which means it will be more fluff than geeky Buffy-ness, alas.

Just to apologize for the mess-up - I still don't have e-mail so I couldn't ring you to make things right. Another time maybe?

Eee! So exciting, though it would definitely freak me out as well. I'm glad to hear that she was lovely, as I'd heard all the rumours about her tantrumy behaviour.

Omigod how cool!!! Glad to hear she seemed nice, it's disappointing when the actors who play character you love turn out to be idiots.
