My very first Bpal order just arrived, so my desk smells like a....well, like quite a lot of things, all of them lovely. Well, nearly all of them. I am rather disappointed by one of the oils I ordered - I've been wearing the same scent (Tocca Touch) for so long that I forgot that perfumes smell different on different people, and that the description of the Bpal scents might not apply to my own skin. And ordered two nice big bottles of the scents I thought I'd like. I know you have to give scents a chance to settle down, but alas at first sniff (well, it's been on for about half an hour) the delicious-looking Belle Epoque smells kind of.....soapy. I thought it would smell of sandalwood and mandarin and vanilla (all of which usually smell fine on me, I should add). And it looked so nice that I ordered a 10ml bottle of it! Perhaps it'll change over time. If not, anyone want to swap it for another one?

I am, however, delighted by one of the imps (tiny sample vials) I was sent - I wouldn't have been drawn to anything featuring patchouli, but this one is gorgeous. So all in all, I don't think I've wasted my cash, especially as the other oil I ordered (Alice) is also lovely. So, even though my order took two and a half months (yes, really) to arrive, I have to say, thank you, Bpal!

What a lovely site. I have been wearing Aromatics by Clinique for years and I love it but I was thinking recently I should find another scent (the U-ness of me!). Do these smell essential oily rather than perfumey - I don't want anything too artificial smelling. And I also have to find ones that don't make a HIK sneeze.

Definitely essential oily! The roses-and-patchouli one I mentioned above (Rakshasa) is particularly gorgeous. Be warned, though - it'll take a long time for your order to arrive!

I've been dying to try Rakshasa. Bpal takes years to arrive, as if it were coming on a sailing ship from the fucking spice lands, but I always forgive them when the package arrives, it smells so wonderful.

I would happily trade you for Belle Epoque, but am ridiculously far away in the Land of Freedom. If you can't find a good home for it, though, I'd be happy to valiantly try to work something out. ;)

I can easily send it across the sea! It actually only took five days to arrive through the post (the two and a half months were spent, um, brewing the oils, I suppose), and the package arrived safe and sound. But I think I'll give it a couple of days to see if it grows on me. Have you got any oils to trade? So many of them sound so gorgeous!

Let me know if you hate it and I will make a list. I...er...have a few. Maybe seven or eight full size and about 12-15 imps. But that's really not a lot at all.

If you don't count the six or so that I have on order.

*looks defensive*

Oooh. I'm glad it's worked out well. I've been wanting to place an order for *ages*! majea gave me some imps a while ago, which I fell in love with, but trying to choose from the web site is just so difficult!
