WE HAVE A TREE!

A live tree, no less, that we will plant in the back garden after Christmas. Huzzah! And we managed to untangle the lights and now the tree is all sparkly and shiny and it smells delicious, especially combined with the cinnamon bundles which are gracing its branches. And because we are not cool at all, we sang carols in harmony as we decorated it. I like Christmas.

I haven't wrapped my presents yet (although yours are piled up together, ready to be wrapped in Pooh Bear wrapping paper).

Awwwww hooray! Live trees and harmonised carols! All you need is wassail.

i've never seen cinnamon bundles on a tree before! It sounds fab.

a wassailing we go

Cinnamon bundle are easy! You just get a bunch of cinnamon sticks (as found in any supermarket) and tie them together with red ribbon or thread. They look really cute, in a sort of Wicker Man way, and they smell lovely.

Alas, I can't post pictures at the moment because I have lost the little bluetooth device that goes into the USB drive and so can't transfer pictures from camera-phone to 'puter. You will just have to imagine it...

We usedta have those when I was a wee sprout. I should find the B&W photo of me with the first one, when I was nine. (I look like a very short middleaged person standing next to it.) The B got us a cut one, which always hurts me a bit.
