is it gene hunt?

I've been waiting for ages for a date to be announced, and now it's official: Life on Mars is back in two weeks! And I just saw the GREATEST TRAILER EVER on BBC2! Which of course is already up on Youtube.

Probably meaningless if you're not familiar with certain 1970s British children's television programmes, but if you are, it's a work of genius.

I knew it was coming "in the Spring" but that could have been anything. And now we've only got two weeks to wait!

Steve showed it to me last week - digitalspy had it - and I think it's an excellent trailer. Also, hurrah! It's back!

I hope so! She was an inspired creation. I mean, that clown always freaked me out a bit when I was small.

Snap! I'm a latecomer to LOM but love it. Totally Sweeney-style cop stuff. And John Simm is a dreamboat.

Great to meet you last night, sorry I had to dash off. I only lasted until 10pm before I was home for my ginger tea and off to the leaba.

Love those tartlets. Mmmmm. Must do it again soon.

I know, I hadn't been in Gruel for ages and I'd forgotten how delicious the food was! We must definitely make another visit in the near future.

And isn't LoM brilliant? I was a latecomer too - I missed it when it was actually on but the kindly daegaer burned me the entire thing soon afterwards and I've been dying for the new series ever since. It's such a fantastic mixture of Sweeney-esque crime and really well-done sci-fi - I love the way they deal with the coma stuff, with the scary test card girl and the Open University lecturers.
