What joy, what bliss - what was on my desk when I arrived at work this morning but my carefully pre-ordered House of Eliott Third Series box set! That's me sorted for the weekend, then. Yes, I know it's soapy and cheesy and ridiculous but I love it anyway. Alas, the downside of working in an office and having a proper job is that I don't get to spend my lunchbreak watching box sets anymore so it will probably take me months before I can watch it all. In fact, I am very behind on my box sets - I have about two series of Upstairs Downstairs to watch and all of the first series of Arrested Development (although I did see most of that when it aired on the telly). Gone are the days when I could take a break and loll on the couch for 45 minutes with a saucer piled with Lemon Melt biscuits and visions of 1920s fashions and pseudo-feminist rants flickering on the TV screen... Sigh.

all of the first series of Arrested Development

Get cracking on that one, missy! I have watched all of my season two box set, and will swapsies it for your season one once you've finished it.

Or, given your current form, I could get it from you and return it to you before you have a chance to watch it...

That might be an option...

By the way, are you still doing stuff in your house on Friday? I want to see it at last!

Definitely, as long as we actually get the keys. I will let you know ASAP.

You could bring the DVD! And my picture of Peg!

Oh hurrah I didn't know they were out! Must betake myself to HMV before the weekend as I too so enjoy cheesy compulsive viewing.

It was released on Monday! I ordered my copy several weeks ago, oh the shame...

Oh, bugger the shame. Had I been organised I would have done exactly the same...

Yay! I'm glad the third season is out. I remember being very annoyed because I Netflixed the first two seasons and was irritated at being left hanging with Evie and Bea going off to America and not knowing what happens next.

I saw the first two seasons on TV when I was a preteen, but I don't recall the 3rd season at all. Maybe it never aired here.
